Imagine you’re a person living in a little box.

You breathed, you ate, you slept, you drank, and you spit in that little box. And you’ve been doing that for 25 years, from the moment of your birth until this very second. You lived your whole life in that tiny little box, and you could never escape from it.

Imagine that in that tiny little box, there’s a small window.

That small window shows you the faraway city. At some moments, you can see sparks of fireworks cracking in the city sky. In other moments, you can hear the laughter, joy, and busyness of city folk. Sometimes, you can even smell a glimpse of wine and bread in the air.

It’s tempting, right?

But remember, you cannot escape from your box. That smell of wine and bread in the air, that laugh and joy you’ve heard — it’s something you can never experience, forever.

Now, what would you do?

Would you relentlessly try to escape your box?
Or would you accept your fate and ignore all those lovely smells and sounds?

Now imagine you’re 50 years old.

You’re a living, breathing person who has lived your whole 50 years of life in that box. You’re getting used to the box. You know every inch, every detail, every crack, and every spot.

You’re becoming part of the box.
And the box is part of you.

Now imagine that suddenly a door appeared in the box.

A door leads to the outside world. A door leads to all the lovely smells and sounds you once craved and yearned for. A door where you can finally answer the questions you once asked.

Would you do it? Would you go outside the world?

You would probably say “yes” straight away to that question. But remember: you’ve been living for 50 years on the box. You’ve been molded by it. The box keeps you safe and sound. The box makes you alive, safe from any external variables that can harm you. And for your entire life, you know nothing except what’s in the box.

Would you go to the outside world?

Should you break free from what makes you safe in order to search for knowledge, truth, and freedom?

What if it harms you?
What if it kills you?
What if it makes you want to kill yourself?
What if it makes your life completely different?
What if it destroys everything you’ve built?
What if it makes you despise your life?

What if you regret it for your entire life?
Will the price be worth it?

Would you pay it with your life?
